Ideas for Use
Young students can just roll the shape die and identify the shape that is on the top. Older students can roll the word die, and then turn the other die to make the match. Older students can also roll the word die and draw the correct shape.
Both dice can be rolled and the two shapes compared. For example, if a square and a trapezoid are on the top faces, students can note that both shapes have four corners or vertices. However, all four sides of the square are equal and form right angles at the corners whereas the sides of the trapezoid are different lengths and none of the corners are right angles.
