Summer Book 4 (3rd edition) is for students entering the fourth grade. It contains fifty pages of activities. The top half of each page reviews math concepts. The bottom half of each page reviews language concepts. There are thinking skills or reading comprehension exercises on the back of each page. A complete answer key is located at the back of the book and may be easily removed.

A separate assignment which combines the sentences from the first four days is provided for the fifth day of each week. Concepts include parts of speech, spelling, grammar, elements of writing, writing structure, genres of literature, and much more. The book includes graphic organizers and an answer key. This book also provides good practice for standardized tests by incorporating the style and syntax of standardized tests.

 

MathSmart is a fun and easy way to learn basic math skills. The game plays like dominos and teaches like a tutor. There are 96-100 durable cards in each game. Each card has a math problem on one half and a boldly circled answer to a different math problem on the other half. Players match the correct answer with the matching problem while forming domino-type patterns with the cards. MathSmart is a simple and fun way to capture children’s interest while playfully challenging them to master basic math skills.
